Italians judge Jerusalem kosher pizzeria to be in world's top 50

Jerusalem pizzeria, La Piedra has been included in the world’s top 50 pizza restaurants for 2023. It’s the first inclusion for an Israeli outlet — and it’s kosher.

The award-giving authority, 50 Top Pizza, only gives out gongs to pizzerias outside Italy, and is so influential it sends pizza-lovers worldwide scurrying straight to fill their faces with the locations mentioned.

And more good news for carbophiles: hot on the heels of the bagel + schmear pop up at Taste, I received a release about another NY style bagel operation on its way to North West London.

In September, It’s Bagels — read all about them here — will be opening in Primrose Hill. (Taking over a former butcher’s shop.) They were baking at Caravan’s roastery in Caledonian Road but have paused operations until the opening. Can’t wait for a NY-themed summer picnic with views. In the meantime, there’s always Taste — which opens TOMORROW!!!
